LO.

      giving you.... the LO-down.

Raised on the sounds of Beatles, Santana, Credence Clearwater Revival, Tower of Power, Zepplin, Deep Purple and most of the  heavyweights of the 60's and 70's.  Lo started playing guitar at a very early age, by the time the 80's came around he was putting those years of woodshedding to good use.

While living in San Diego in the 80's and 90's, he switched to the bass guitar and played in many local club bands. Ernie (Lo) found his instrument  (the bass) and was very busy doing sideman, studio, and fill in work. Growing tired of the club scene he concentrated on his solo act and became a regular street performer in the World Famous Balboa Park.

Currently Ernie just plays music for the pure pleasure of it and writes articles for an infamous website - Roadhouse Monkeys.

Live From Madison Square Garden

Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood, reunite, not since the days of Blind Faith.
This was a great outing for this rare duo and for the benefit of public TV as well. First aired November 2009 for PBS Television. Not only do Steve and Eric play a stellar performance, including all their big hits and some rare covers as well. One can tell they are very at ease at their craft. Invoking images of days long past, two songs for sure to mention are Hendrix’s Little Wing and Voodoo Child.
This production has unbelievable camera shots of Stevie on keys and Eric playing infamous Blacky; while his head lowered all caught in the same frame. Great close ups, head shots and cool hand and fingering shots I truly enjoyed.

The broadcast was 120 min, long but you know how public TV is, I saw 80 min of what was broadcast; my attention was not averted till the last pledge drive.
I can’t express how fun this concert was it made me feel good to see they still got it, If you ever get the chance or better yet make some time to see.

You can check out some samples, get a copy of the audio format CD for about $20.00 or download the mp3 version for about $15.00 here is a link to Amazom

On the scale of 1-5 this gets hands down, high 5.

Peace Out   Lo. D -April 2010
