Motorcycle
Storage & Cleaning Tools By: Ernie "the Southern Monkey" Unland I am going to review 4 pieces of equipment that I feel are well worth the cost and time to use.The first 2 items are for storing the motorcycle.
One is the dolly and the other is the front wheel chock. The 3rd is to aid in cleaning and can be used along with
the front wheel chock. The 4th tool is for servicing. All of the items I
am reviewing are made by Haul Master except the last item the Central Hydraulics motorcycle jack. All of the items are available
from "Harbor Freight Tools" check thier wed sit at http://www.harborfreight.com/

Motorcycle Dolly The first item is the low profile motorcycle dolly part # 95896-1VGA.
I purchased mine several years ago and it was worth every penny of the $75.00 I paid back then. They are a lot less now. Assembly
is very easy with hand tools and takes about 1 hour or less to finish. Quality is very good and it rolls very well.
Note. When installing kick stand plate remember that it is adjustable in that the kickstand is up against the front
of the plate or the rear of the plate. As always use caution when moving the cycle on the dolly and make
sure you are not rolling over uneven or rough pavement. I made brackets to use for tie downs.

Wheel
Chock Next is the front wheel chock part number 96349-2VGA. This unit has universal mounting.
Good quality construction and easy to use. Installation was easy and I also did a custom install for the garage. I
have mine set up for the garage and the trailer for dirt bikes and is removable. In the garage I selected a location where
there is plenty of clearance to work on both sides of the bike.
Here is the best part. The
next item to review works perfectly with this stand and makes cleaning the rear wheel a lot easier.

Wheel Cleaning Stand Next is the Aluminum motorcycle wheel cleaning stand. This is worth
all the pennies I spent on it. This unit helps a great deal in cleaning the rear wheel. I have mine set so that when I roll
my bike into the front wheel chock above the rear wheel rolls into the cleaning stand. It is made of good quality aluminum
and has rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from moving or sliding. I feel there is a little more resistance than I like
when turning the rear wheel but it is one hundred times better than having to move the bike back and forth to get the next
dirty spot on the wheel, rotors and sprocket. How I use mine with the front wheel chock, with the bike in the front wheel
chock, place the cleaning stand next to the rear wheel and center it with the wheel, now remove the bike and slide the cleaning
stand in place, roll the bike back on the front stand and rear cleaning stand at the same time, check alignment of the cleaning
stand. If it is ok then mark the floor for the next time you use it. I have my cleaning stand hanging on the wall ready to
use.

Motorcycle lift The 4th and final tool is the Central Hydraulics motorcycle jack part
# 2792-3VGA. This is good quality steel and construction. I do not recommend using this jack without the safety locks and
tie downs being used. I have had mine for many years and had no problems servicing my bike. Easy to store and use. I personally
do not feel comfortable moving the bike while on the lift. When using this jack on my bike I have to use ramps as my bike is so low it can’t
fit under the frame. *As with all equipment always read and please follow all of the manufacturer’s instructions.
