The Scavenger Total Oil Change System

By: Rouge Choppers

http://www.roguechopper.com/

This month we found a product that changes the oil, ALL THE OIL during your regular maintenance routine.

The concept is simple when changing your oil in a normal oil change not all the dirty oil is drained out. As much as 24 ounces of dirty oil remains in the bottom of dry sump engines like Evolutions, Twin Cams and Sportsters. Changing the engine oil and filter are the accepted method of removing contaminated oil, but the design of millions of motorcycle engines hold dirty oil during this process and upon being restarted, return that filthy oil to the tank where it immediately mixes with the clean oil, accelerating the breakdown of the fresh oil, shortening the life of your oil and compromising lubrication qualities right away.

Yes, particles in your oil are removed by the oil filter, but it is the combustion gasses mixing with the oil that causes a chemical breakdown, reducing its effective lubrication and creating acids that eat away at the engine's internal components.

Here is how it works; change your oil as normal but before installing a new filter place the Rouge Choppers Scavenger on the bike first. Then run the motor and drain out another 20 to 24 oz.’s of dirty oil that was in the bottom of the dry sump. Remove the Scavenger, install a new filter and top off the oil. You have now changed all the oil.

We tried it and were amazed at the results. Normally after changing the oil then taking it for a ride the new oil has already turned a darker color. After using the Scavenger and going for a ride the oil looked like I had just poured it out of the can.

    Installation Questions:

1) Are the instructions clear with good photos? (Yes, clear instructions and great photos)

2) Can I install it without buying special tools? (No special tools are required)

3) Can I do this by myself or will I need a second hand? (This is a one person operation)

4) Is this a beginner, medium or leave it to the experts’ installation? (Anyone can do this)

5) How does it function? (Excellent)

The Scavenger comes with specific kits and instruction for different bikes ranging from $60.00 to $160.00. We will be reviewing the $59.95 kit for my 1998 Roadking; follow along as we change the oil / or check out there on line instruction video for your year make and model.

*This product comes with my highest recommendation and personally I’ll never change my oil without using the Scavenger again. On a scale of one to ten, this one goes to eleven.
